With my desk close to being finished (2-4 weeks). I think I’ll turn my attention towards a project that has been in my head since early summer. My plan is to make a number of canvases and handing them out for free on campus. I figure an artist shouldn’t have to choose between creating something lasting and meaningful or eating. I understand it doesn’t do anything about the paint or other materials but hopefully this will help some aspiring artist out there while giving me an opportunity to try my hand at making a piece of art within itself.

I was digging through some papers and found my initial drawings, I had lost them but glad to see they resemble each other.

Sunday: Finished the layout of the bottom. Ordered the legs.

Update!  #DIY

My new desk top that I’ve been working on with my father. All the pieces have been collected from work. They are small strips of waste mahogany. I’m not an expert woodworker but it has been fun doing something with my father. Updates ahead.
